  1. Small group learning can bring improvements in areas such as tolerance and positive interactions among students from different cultural backgrounds.
  2. Small group discussion breeds motivation to learn, confidence in one’s social skills and psychological health and as well helps develop content knowledge as well as problem-solving, reasoning, communication, and self-assessment skills among student.
  3. Factors such as rowdiness of the class, unequal participation among team members and too much time required to finish the outline of the discussion are factors that impedes the success of small group discussion.
  4. Small group discussion has a significant effect on History students’ academic performance and can lead to improved cognitive ability.
